As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote If you child struggles in a particular area this is not the school for you. The teachers do not like having to actually spend time helping their students. Either your student is up to par or they are tossed aside because the teachers do not have time to be bothered. My child has attended 3 years here and each year has been terrible, my child is being left behind and the teachers are more concerned about the effort it takes out of their day.
Meetings here are useless as the teachers want an instant fix instead of helping the student. I have spoken to many other disappointed parents who worry that any more attention to the fact that the teachers are not doing their job will only single out their child and cause more issues. There are a couple of teachers here that seem to know what job they applied for but others do not seem to care that they are there to teach and help the children in their classroom. Yes, NM classrooms are crowded and a classroom full of kids can be stressful but if you cannot handle it then you should have chosen a different career.
Another thing, the cafeteria is always running out of food! Either the main entree or the sides. I, and many my student's friends parents, try to send lunch most days because of this otherwise they are left hungry. If students are not getting their proper lunch and hungry in class I can understand why so many students are lacking focus as it is hard for a child to retain attention and learn when their bellies are still hungry. I am sure many parents do not even know that their kids are not being fed what they are supposed to.
This whole district needs an overhaul because JMMS is no better!
Steer clear. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
