Open Quote My daughter has been attending Nixon Elementary for three years now. I could not be any happier with the school, staff, and PTA. Having friends from other parts of Roxbury, hearing the issues they have even in what is considered the "better side of town", I'm happy to be a Nixon Parent! We get title 1 help through the state which adds extra programs for the kids. Our principal is top notch making sure she knows all of the students and helping them achieve greatness. I was worried to send my daughter here in kindergarten at first because of the school rating but I believe a lot of it is hearsay. Really, school is what you make of it. If you want your child to succeed, you must be involved. Close Quote

Open Quote Through 5 years at this school, I always felt that the staff (principal, teachers, office personnel)had my child's best interests at heart always, even going above and beyond at times. Close Quote
