Academically, Canfield Avenue School has consistently ranked in the middle range of New Jersey elementary schools, with performance on state assessments generally on par with or slightly above the state average in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Open Quote Excellent school district! I have two boys, and they both had a wonderful experience at Canfield Avenue School. The school is the center of the community; the class sizes are small, the teachers and the administrators are wonderful. They are very caring and easy to talk to. Close Quote

Open Quote Canfield Ave is an EXCELLENT place to put your child. Its Board of Education, teachers, staff & parents all work together to ensure the children's education is one of the best around. This school district not only worries about the academics of the children but also focuses on teaching them to worry about the community that they live in as well as each other. Citizenship, volunteerism, tolerance, and acceptance of those with disabilities are just some of the areas outside of the academics that this school focuses on. This school is one of the pilot school choice schools and many parents choose CAS as the place to begin their children's education. A must visit place, because once you do you will know you have found your child's educational home! Close Quote
