Compared to nearby schools in the Elizabeth Public Schools district, such as Nicholas S. Lacorte-Peterstown School No. 3 and Toussaint L'Ouverture-Marquis de Lafayette School No. 6, Winfield Scott School No. 2 appears to have fewer resources and a higher student-teacher ratio, which may be contributing factors to its poor performance.

Addressing the underlying issues at Winfield Scott School No. 2 and the broader challenges faced by the Elizabeth Public Schools district will be crucial to improving educational outcomes for the students.

Open Quote They really are the worst I been here 20 years I went to public they never treated me like they treat my daughter because they have no control of the teachers or children my daughter has been bullied for half a year and all they have done so far is nothing till my husband got in the teachers face and told her to educate right and stop having preferences within the children then she told him he was gonna sue him for verbal abuse I mean wow I hope the board in day does decide to take action.
