Open Quote This school has done so much for our kids, and we now recommend it to all of our friends!

We come from Vernon district, where schools are overcrowded (despite a declining population). There is a bullying problem in Vernon, which is the primary reason that we decided to look for another school for our oldest daughter. She was miserable in Vernon. Additionally, there was little enrichment, no Honors classes, no GATE, an d the extracurriculars offered in Vernon weren't that exciting to her.

Charter has solved pretty much all of those issues. Both of our girls are now there, and they LOVE the small class sizes especially. Most of their classes have fewer than 15 students their classes tended to be over 20 students each in Vernon.

Also, the teaching style at Charter is so different from Vernon. Probably because of the smaller class sizes, it's far more experiential. They try things, learn by doing, and get a lot of help from the teachers and their peers. The students work in small groups on projects, they get excited about what they are doing, and they use technology in surprising and innovative ways in their projects.

My daughters are so excited to go to school now. The bullying issues we experienced in Vernon have disappeared. My girls are happy and they actually like to talk about what they are doing in class and what they are learning. What a difference .. and what a blessing this school has been for our family!!
