Summary:

The Haddon Township School District has seven schools—five elementary, one middle and one high school—serving 2,068 students in Haddon Township, from elementary through high school. Overall, elementary results are strong compared with state results, but there are notable differences among schools and subjects. In 2025–2026, 33 of 35 elementary grade-and-subject results were above the state result; across the seven matched comparisons, the elementary average was 18 points higher than the state average.

Van Sciver Elementary had the highest average across seven elementary results, at 68%, while Clyde S. Jennings Elementary had the lowest, at 57—a difference of 11 points. The sharpest subject-level contrast was grade 5 math: Van Sciver scored 83%, compared with 35% at Thomas A. Edison Elementary, a 48-point gap. At the secondary level, William G. Rohrer Middle School scored above state results in most reported tests, but its grade 8 math result was 20%, 3 points below the state. Haddon Township High School stood out in grade 9 ELA and Geometry, at 75% and 78%, while Algebra I End of Course was 26%, 14 points below state.

Elementary averages moved in different directions: Stoy Elementary rose 9 points and Jennings rose 6, while Edison fell 15; the overall elementary average increased by about 1 point. SchoolDigger gives the district four stars and ranks it 160th of 607 districts, in the 74th percentile. Its school ranking percentiles rose from 2023–2024 to 2025–2026 for all seven schools, though Edison fell from 83 in 2024–2025 to 71. School characteristics offer context, not an explanation for results: the free/reduced lunch eligible measure for 2024–2025 was 25% at Van Sciver and 21% at Jennings, compared with 3% at both Edison and Strawbridge Elementary. Jennings also had the lowest student-teacher ratio, 11.3, while Van Sciver’s was 11.9.
