As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Highland Goffe's Falls is a school where students are partners in a rigorous learning environment and enriched through multiple opportunities to enjoy and engage in the arts programs available. They ofter coin collecting, chorus, strings, band, game design, drama, snap circuits, Lego story starters, as well as a robotics team. They have a staff that offers homework club and often meets with students before and after school to offer extra assistance and communicate with parents on a regular basis. Close Quote

Open Quote Grades 1-4 were absolutely a wonderfull and a positive experience. The teachers seemed to be caring, ready to help with any questions, all around good at teaching. Thank you to all of them! Now my grandchild is in 5th grade and there were changes. [All the problems with this teacher I cannot believe she is still there.(tenure I've heard) This child has always loved school, gotten A's and some B's. This teacher does not believe in homework but expects all work done within a short period of time, puts the students down and does not appear to want to take the time to assist when assistance is needed. There seems to be quite a few students and parents having the same problem with this teacher and previous years.] Otherwise this school was a good experience. Sad this one problem could not be addressed Close Quote

Open Quote Our family just moved from out of state and I was worried that my son, starting first grade at this school, wouldn't do so well with new teachers, new school and new students. But at his other school in Maine, he always said he didn't like school and he was bored. At highland he says he loves school and his teacher!!! The school buses i'm not pleased with, so i drive him to and from school. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
