ZIP code 27537 in Henderson, North Carolina, is served by eight schools: six PK-5 elementary schools, one 9-12 high school, and one K-12 charter school, together enrolling roughly 3,583 students. Seven belong to Vance County Schools, a district ranked in the bottom 14% of North Carolina districts, while Vance Charter School operates as its own charter district. There is no traditional public middle school in the ZIP, so most 6th-8th grade students must leave the area or attend the charter.
