As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Rand is a great school. Staff are supportive, parents are welcome, students are the focus. Family feel at this school and they truly care about my kids and their education. Close Quote

Open Quote Severe lack of organization - carpool is a nightmare. Be prepared for watching teachers talking to one another rather than focusing on getting the children safely into cars children sitting in front of the school with little to no supervision kids running to their parents cars because they cannot hear their number being called over the other children talking, but see their parents cars pulling up weaving throughout the parking lot and almost getting hit by other cars trying to pull out of spaces or while you’re trying to come around the corners by the other cars exiting the school. Some serious adjustments need to be evaluated to circumvent the poor decisions made for this situation.
Lack of communication between administration and parents: buses not leaving the school until 1 hour after school lets out. Meaning, your child doesn’t get home until 2 hours after school ended. No communication from school the day of incidents or accountability taken by school afterwards.
Recess: 2nd, 4th, 5th graders are all out together. 4th/5th graders switch days when they can play on the swingset. The swingset they play on is meant for kindergarteners and 1st graders. The 2nd graders play on the 2 larger structures made for 4th/5th graders. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
