North Newton Elementary is a Pre-K through 5th grade school in Newton, NC, enrolling 388 students and belonging to Newton Conover City Schools. The school currently ranks 305th out of 1,492 North Carolina elementary schools—the 80th percentile and a 4-star rating—putting it ahead of every other local school in this review, including Shuford Elementary, South Newton Elementary, and Balls Creek Elementary. Academically, the school’s clearest strength is math, with students at every grade level beating district and state averages on the most recent state tests.
