Palisades Park Elementary is a large K-5 school in Charlotte, NC, serving about 940 students as part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in the city's southwestern section. In the most recent state ranking, the school earns 4 stars and places #262 out of 1,492 North Carolina elementary schools, which is the 82nd percentile. That is well above the home district's 57th-percentile standing. Palisades Park has been consistently strong, although its earlier 5-star, top-100 form has settled into a strong 4-star performance in recent years.

Academically, Palisades Park is strongest in the early grades: in the most recent year, 86.5% of 3rd graders were proficient in math and 73.1% in reading, compared with district averages of 70.7% and 57.6%. Fourth-grade results follow the same pattern.
