Open Quote This CMS school is likely the best on the north side of town. Its new Principal is being welcomed with opened arms and has been well-received. The office staff is not very warm and fuzzy. The school offers both multiage and traditional programs. Those families in the multiage program tend to treat it as an "elite" or "gifted" program, but it is not; it is just a philosophy that may work for some and not work for other kids and families. There are many magnificent teachers in the school who are quite beloved. In addition, there are many teachers to avoid who seem to stick around and suck the life out of many kids and parents. The school is VERY focused on state test scores, so much that not much is taught outside of that box. The Exceptional Children department is fantastic, both for self-contained and resource based instruction. The PTA is very involved. LOTS of cliques. High percentage of gifted students.
