As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I had my doubts about the school to begin with, especially having spoken to other parents and former staff before enrolling my child in West Clayton. I thought, "Oh, it couldn't really be that bad." Well, the reality was far worse. Speaking just for my child's experience as one of the top children in his class, he has had to deal with bullying on a pretty consistent level. He has had to deal with children belittling his intelligence, other students wishing he were dead to his face, and to the extreme end having to deal with being punched in the face. The best response the school and his teacher can do is that "Kids will be Kids." That is true... Until they become something worse. Behavior begins to set in at the elementary level, whether it's poor parenting or worse supervision and discipline, this school will do very little to ensure a safe environment for your exceptional child. There are now alternatives to this at best, mediocre school... If you are a discerning parent of any kind, please, I beg of you, take your child elsewhere or risk putting your child through what mine has had to endure. I will have my work cut out for me trying to undo what this institute of barbarian learning has done to my child. There really needs to be a better way to hold these incompetent so-called educators accountable. I will certainly be looking into outside options to gain recourse for my child. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
