Voyager Academy is a K–12 charter school in northeast Durham, NC, serving roughly 1,360 students as its own independent school district and posting consistently strong academic results. On the most recent state exams, average math proficiency across grades 3–8 was about 74%, compared with roughly 60% statewide, while average reading proficiency was about 72% versus 56% statewide. High school end-of-course results are especially solid: roughly 84% of students scored proficient in Math III, 74% in Biology, and 70% in English II — each above state averages.

Voyager also stands out for strong attendance and high graduation rates. Its four-year graduation rate is 94.8% — the highest among nearby charters that report the figure, including Excelsior Classical Academy (92.5%) and Woods Charter (88.6%) — and well above the statewide rate of 88.8%.
