Nearly 99% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, placing the school among the highest-poverty elementary schools in the region. The school's most recent state ranking dropped sharply to the 26th percentile (1 star), a notable decline from the 51st percentile it earned the previous year — a swing likely amplified by small grade cohorts of roughly 40–50 students.
