Open Quote I have been at this school since kindergarten. Senior year has been extremely stressful. It is mostly because I had a lot of extracurriculars and was high courses. When I had miss school for three weeks, they were very under stable with with my absence. Majority of the teachers care a whole lot about their job. They also care about the students. Although it may be very stressful, I believe it prepares kids for college. It is definitely better than a public school. If I had the chance to not go to Franklin Academy, I wouldn't change a thing. Open Quote This was probably the worst academic experience possible, I just graduated from this school, and had been attending since kindergarten. I actually thought the school was actually really good until junior year, but then they made a lot of teacher and administrative changes, and things just became awful. The teachers don't teach and couldn't care less about your education, they think that their class is your only class and assign more homework than there is time in the day. My best advice is that this school has tanked to the lowest it can go, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! I actually had an anxiety attack during senior year and I know several others who experienced the same thing. The stress this school puts on you is far worse than college. They take rules and work too far and it is unacceptable. Your children would be better off in a "normal" school. Close Quote

Open Quote This is an excellent school where the children are taught through direct instruction and learn discipline as well. They have a well thought out curriculum where teachers are not tenured so they must perform in order to keep their position. We feel very blessed to have our children in this institution and are thankful for its existence. Close Quote

Open Quote My son is finishing up kindergarten at Franklin Academy, and so far we are pleased with the school. My son loves it, and gets upset if he has to miss a day or leave early. For us, FA offers the right mix of structured class time and free play. Parent involvement is excellent. FA's specials classes (music, art, language, etc) are fantastic. Close Quote
