Despite serving a student body where 100% of children qualify for free/reduced lunch, Summit earns a 2-star rating and ranks in the 38th percentile statewide, making it a relative bright spot within a district that overall struggles.

Within its own district, Summit clearly outpaces Otken Elementary School, its only comparable testable elementary school, by wide margins in 3rd-grade reading and math.
