Lamar County Vocational Center offers Allied Health, Business and Computer Technology, Electronics/Electricity, Metal Trades/Welding, Building Trades, and Automotive Repair. These courses offer a rigorous content and enable a student to further their education by going on to college, trade school or leave high school and go to work. The teachers are certified in their area and offer certifications to students before leaving high school. Several programs have waiting list for students. Students making an "A" or "B" at the Center and a "C" in their high school can receive a two-year vocational scholarship to a junior college. Close Quote
