Open Quote This school is a hot mess, from the bullying and accountability to the communication with parents from the staff and admin. They prioritize football fields over playgrounds for littles. They allow kids to feel unsafe and some of the faculty actively contribute to the dangerous and toxic environment.

School lunch, if you are behind on payments from forgetfulness or hardship your child receives a token publicly and eats "the poor kids' lunch" as the children call it. A sack lunch or tray with a sandwich. This is done publicly, and the district still charges you full price for the meal. Not only is it traumatizing to the child but actually stealing from the parents. When you call the school, they unapologetically say it's policy and to call Mr. Barlow with the school district, where you will talk to his secretary, like most of that admin in building have, and likely never hear back from them. Or if you do nothing changes. It took us 4 months for them to actually address the class bully, and four parents coming to the school saying enough or we get lawyers.
It's just so messy here, unorganized and honestly a little terrifying and a lot aggravating.

Creek Bend is always begging for money and doing activities like tailgate party and field day with concession stands, sending candy or buying snacks from concession (which I volunteered at and was told by staff to water down the nachos so they could make and sell more...) it's always something. They need t-shirts or to stock the teachers' lounge. But you give sack lunches with a side of shame to young children who are crying saying "but I want what she's having, I want chicken nuggets too!

They put misbehaving children in a desk in the hallway alone and isolated with their heads down. When I was volunteering, I saw a little boy out there and he look absolute defeated and devastated... he couldn't have been more that 8... what on earth does that achieve?

Do not move here... do NOT send your children to this school. Or its district. I made the mistake of buying a home just so my son could go to the brand new Creekbend and I will regret it for the rest of my life.

My son has been pushed, knocked over, called horrible names, yelled at by the staff "snitching" when trying to get help and all the while I keep trying. I volunteer there hoping to help and watch. I donate money and supplies hoping to make it better for my son, but no more. We are looking into alternatives to this prison of a school, probably homeschooling or private school. Run. Don't put your child into this situation. Just look at google, all bad reviews except thee and ones a staff member and the other two are obviously paid for by the dialog and names.

Don't make my mistakes, do your homework, not just neighbors who want you to buy a house to grow the area, talk to art teachers who have quit because the school wouldn't buy supplies but made sure they had new footballs and kickballs... that only certain kids who are "cool" can use. Oh, and they pick teams for the sports and games not but last name or talent... I'll let you guess how they go about it. But it's not great. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
