Chronic absenteeism sits at 26.2%, about the same as the district (26.4%) but far better than Horn Lake Elementary School (33.8%) and Shadow Oaks Elementary School (32.9%), while still well above Hernando Hills Elementary (15.5%). Walls also has the most favorable student-teacher ratio among nearby schools at 15.0 students per teacher, yet this has not translated into academic gains—suggesting that targeted interventions, attendance support, and instructional quality may be more impactful levers going forward.
