Hastings High School is a comprehensive grades 9–12 school in Hastings, Minnesota, a river town southeast of the Twin Cities, serving 1,301 students and acting as effectively the only comprehensive high school in the Hastings Public School District. The district's other "high schools" are small alternative programs with 32 or fewer students, so the school's results are, for practical purposes, the district's results.

Graduation is the school's clearest strength: 95.6% in 2024–25, compared with 84.9% statewide, with a 2.8% dropout rate — and those numbers have held steady for five years. Test scores tell a different story. Math proficiency was 41.5% and reading 38.0%, both below state averages, while science dropped to 19.0%, about 6.5 points below the state. Over three years, reading fell 27.7 points and science 39.1 points. The school's statewide ranking slid from the 91st percentile (5 stars) three years ago to the 48th percentile (2 stars) now.
