Subgroup effectiveness is also uneven: the school ranks very high for female, male, white, special education, multi-racial, and Asian students, but its English Language Learner ranking was 163rd of 170 — the 4th percentile — in 2025–2026, and Hispanic student effectiveness dropped to the 45th percentile. Westonka Middle School, Minnetonka East Middle, and Minnetonka West Middle outperform Pioneer Ridge in all three core subjects, while Shakopee and Aspire Academy Middle School trail well behind.
