Ashby Secondary is a small rural public school in Ashby, Minnesota, serving grades 7–12 to about 137 students as part of the Ashby Public School District. It ranked 250th of 473 Minnesota high schools in 2025–2026 (47th percentile, 2 stars), and its results swing widely: it reached the 90th percentile in 2017–2018, fell to the 21st in 2023–2024, then recovered somewhat. With so few students, one class can move the numbers noticeably.

It trails Battle Lake Secondary (56.2% math, 64.3% reading), is close to Kennedy High School in math, and is comfortably ahead of Brandon-Evansville High School, Underwood Secondary, and West Central Area Secondary. Prior years showed 90%–100% graduation with almost no dropouts, so this may be a small-cohort anomaly — but it is worth watching, along with the science gap.
