Pequot Lakes Public Schools is a three-school Minnesota district serving roughly 1,737 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade: Eagle View Elementary (PK–4, 557 students), Pequot Lakes Middle (5–8, 581 students), and Pequot Lakes Senior High (9–12, 599 students). Enrollment is split almost evenly among the three schools. The district is highly ranked — 34th of 458 Minnesota districts, in the 93rd percentile with 5 stars — and each individual school earned 4 stars for 2025–2026.

Each school brings a different academic strength. Eagle View Elementary leads in math, with 68.3% proficiency compared with 52.1% for the district and 44.9% for the state, and its third- and fourth-grade math scores also beat state averages. Pequot Lakes Middle leads in reading at 61.2%, above both the district (60.5%) and the state (48.6%), and its math climbed 7.87 points in a year to 50.8%, though science lags at 27.6%. Pequot Lakes Senior High shines in science at 52.4% versus the state's 25.5%, and its outcomes are strong: a 92.2% graduation rate versus 84.9% statewide and a 1.9% dropout rate versus 4.2%.

The district beats the state in all three subjects, but trends differ by school. High school science jumped 11.3 points, and its rank percentile rebounded from 76 to 86. The middle school has improved steadily (73 to 83), while the elementary school has slipped from the 86th to the 80th percentile even though its math remains far above the state. The clearest concerns are high school math, at 31.9% versus the state's 35.3% in 11th grade, and the middle school's grade-level fade — math drops from 66.4% in 5th grade to 42.8% in 8th, and reading from 70.5% to 52.8%. Overall, families will find a strong, well-ranked district whose weakest spot is math in the upper grades.
