Southland Public School District in Minnesota educates roughly 520 students across three schools — an elementary (PK–5), a middle (6–8), and a high school (9–12) — and ranks 140 of 458 districts statewide, in the 69th percentile with 3 stars.

Southland Senior High is the standout, ranked 83 of 473 schools (82nd percentile) with 4 stars in each of the last three years. Its reading (69.6%) and science (60%) proficiency are above both the district and state, and its 97.1% graduation rate and 0.0% dropout rate far outpace Minnesota's 84.9% and 4.2%. Math is the exception: just 20% of students are proficient, below the district's 41.2% and the state's 44.9%.
