Summary

Oxford High School is a public high school located in Oxford, Michigan, serving 1,639 students in grades 9-12. The school is part of the Oxford Community Schools district, which is ranked 281 out of 613 districts in the state.

Oxford High School has consistently ranked in the top half of Michigan high schools over the past 10 years, with strong performance on standardized tests like the M-Step and SAT. However, the school's math proficiency lags behind the state average. The school maintains a relatively high graduation rate, ranging from 81.7% to 97.4% in recent years, and a low dropout rate. While the school's performance is generally on par with or slightly better than the nearby Oxford Bridges High School, it falls behind high-performing schools in the neighboring Clarkston Community School District, such as Clarkston High School and Renaissance Alternative High School.

Oxford High School's per-student spending has increased in recent years, but the school's relatively high chronic absenteeism rate, ranging from 29.5% to 40.9%, suggests that the school may need to re-evaluate its resource allocation and targeted interventions to address areas of concern, such as performance in math and with certain student subgroups. By analyzing the school's data and comparing it to nearby schools, Oxford High School can identify opportunities to enhance its educational offerings and better support the diverse needs of its student population.

Open Quote Oxford High School is ridicolous. They are spending the money for eight tennis courts and blue turf, but were sposed to be on a budget cut? Well luckily were getting all that at once cause they are canceling PM otech. Some clusters cant go to AM otech their 2nd year so forgot having a A+ all year, being on the honor roll, and finding out what i wanna do with my life : ), we have blue turf and tennis who needs knowledge?
