St Louis School

When we first started our kids at St Louis it was everything we wanted. Great teachers, great community and a great Catholic education. Then the school began to change. We started seeing a lot of turn over with the good teachers leaving. Recently I had an opportunity to listen to a teacher teaching class. For all of the money spent on a a private education I was very disappointed. New administration only seems to have made things worse and the HSA apparently has no power to fix anything.

We also had lots of problems with bullying from other students. One of our children was diagnosed with a learning disability. Instead of getting help they were belittled and mocked by some of the teachers. Repeatedly told their work is not "St. Louis best." We decided our children would not return after listening to a teacher deny our child had a learning disability and instead repeatedly made derogatory statements about our child. The administration was no help. They are more concerned about the schools image than anything else.

I will give the school two stars. I think they have lost focus on what is best for the students and on their Catholic mission. I hope they will change but we cannot wait around for that to happen while our kids get abused.
