Open Quote School has little diversity not only among the students but the staff as well. Quincy is a closed community not a friendly city. I see lots of racism in the schools and throughout the community. Leadership is the equivalent of an old boys club. Local leadership has passed down through single families generation to generation that includes the mayor's office as well as the Quincy Public School System. People are voted in because of their last name or via connections rather than ability.

The level of nepotism throughout the school and city employee's is mind boggling. A death notice I once read of a city worker also listed his family members who also worked for the City of Quincy in some capacity was more like a who's who in the DeCristofaro family. Close Quote
