Summary

Diman Regional Vocational Technical High is a grades 9–12 regional vocational-technical school at 251 Stonehaven Rd in Fall River, MA, enrolling 1,463 students from Fall River and surrounding Somerset, Swansea, and Westport as the only school in the Greater Fall River Regional Vocational Technical district. In 2025–26 it ranks 235th of 353 Massachusetts high schools (33rd percentile, 2 stars), a partial recovery from 266th of 349 in 2024–25 but still far below its 2022–23 peak of 124th of 347 (64th percentile, 3 stars).

Diman’s standout strength is completion: its 2024–25 graduation rate was 98.9% and dropout rate 0.6%, the best in its comparison group and ahead of Gr New Bedford Vocational Technical, Somerset Berkley Regional High School, New Bedford High, and B M C Durfee High. Class sizes are small (student–teacher ratio 10.2), and per-pupil spending is $21,268, second only to the New Bedford voc-tech among local general high schools. Achievement is weaker: 2025–26 10th-grade MCAS proficiency was 36.70% in ELA, 30.24% in Math, and 18.44% in Science, below state averages of 45.48, 43.73, and 40.50. That leaves a central tension: near-universal graduation alongside bottom-third proficiency, though 2025–26 showed the first stabilization in Math and in the overall ranking. English Language Learner students had a standout 2024–25 result (6th of 83 schools, 93rd percentile), but free/reduced-lunch data are blank and no enrollment trend is available, so economic-need adjustments are not possible. The bottom line is a well-resourced voc-tech with excellent completion outcomes and a still-unresolved academic recovery.
