The Dudley-Charlton Regional district includes four elementary schools serving about 1,363 students across pre-kindergarten through grade 4, split between two PK–1 schools (Charlton Elementary and Mason Road School) and two grade 2–4 schools (Heritage School and Dudley Elementary), so families move between buildings as children advance. The district is ranked 257 of 351 statewide, the 27th percentile with 1 star, and it trails the state in both English language arts and mathematics.
Among the two schools with MCAS results, Heritage School is the current standout.
