Attleboro has three middle schools — Cyril K. Brennan Middle School, Wamsutta Middle School, and Robert J. Coelho Middle School — all serving grades 5–8 within the Attleboro district. Together they enroll 1,766 students, and their sizes are remarkably close, ranging only from 574 to 599 students. The district overall is ranked 214 of 351 statewide, placing it at the 39th percentile with a 2-star rating, though all three middle schools earned 3 stars in their 2025–2026 rank history.
Wamsutta Middle School is the most balanced performer and the only school whose rank percentile improved each year, rising from 57 to 59 and reaching rank 198 of 478 in 2025–2026. It leads the group in math (40.38% proficient) and 8th grade civics (48.08%). Robert J. Coelho Middle School is the science standout, scoring 45.23% in 2025–2026 and 51.18% in 2024–2025, both above district and state, but its rank percentile fell from 61 to 55. Cyril K.
