Open Quote My two boys and I recently moved to Ascension Parish going on two months now! We had began the year in Tangipahoa Parish (which is also a great school district) However; it doesn't follow the Common Core curriculum. My five year old is in love with his new school! I'd be LIEING if I didn't say he was a little bit overwhelmed coming into a different town, different teacher, new rules, & new curriculum... But in Kindergarten they don't overload your child with homework, they actually work WITH your child, yes.... Real teaching reinforced by our help as parents, this is an amazing school! About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
