Phillip A. Sharp shared the 1993 Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology for the discovery of split genes, which proved that genes can be composed of several separate segments. Phillip graduated from Pendleton High School in 1960. ALL Americans should be very proud of Mr. Sharp. Close Quote
