As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I have had at least one children, sometimes more in a year, at Woodland Elementary for almost 10 years. In 2013, they adopted a new program known as "Leader in Me." It is based on the book,'Seven Habits for Happy Kids'. I think this program is EXACTLY what these students need. I have seen tremendous changes when I'm at the school. It is evident when you go to school functions that the students are enjoying these new 'habits' they are learning and more importantly demonstrating. The teachers and staff are teaching the students how to be proactive, put first things first, and so on. I hear my own kids talking the same 'language' when they come home. Plus, the habits are incorporated in their learning, the school has been painted to encourage the kids, new student 'leadership' jobs have been put in place. I think the adoption of this program is one of the best decisions this school has made. I think it looks nice to walk in this school and see students in a relaxed dress code. Goodness, it's jeans, navy, khaki pants, solid pools or school shirts. I've seen much stricter dress codes! Besides, it puts the kids on a more level playing field, I think. I disagree with the other reviewer's remarks regarding the changes that have been occurring at Woodland. I say, Woodland keep it up!! You are creating Leaders!!! Close Quote

Open Quote public school that has the leader and me and 7 habits being taught to the students without any say from parents. it is a mormon teaching and thus, religious which has no place in any public school system. then out of the dozens of schools in the county this one makes you buy cloths to meet they're dress code and pay for class supplies along with a mandatory agenda you have to pay for so they can violate your constitutional rights and teach religion. very poor communication with parents, worse school yet. i see why they are ranked almost the worse school Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
