Anderson County Middle School serves 768 students in grades 6–8 in Lawrenceburg, in Anderson County. Its 2025–26 results were generally above state levels, but chronic absenteeism is the clearest concern: 25% of students were chronically absent, compared with 24% statewide, 23% in the district and a 19% average at the eight nearby schools; the school’s rate was higher than every one of them.

The school’s strongest relative results are eighth-grade Editing and Mechanics and Social Studies: 54% were proficient in Editing and Mechanics, versus 42% statewide, 52% in the district and 44% across nearby schools; in Social Studies, the figures were 48%, 39%, 46% and 43%, respectively.
