Oneida, Kentucky, has two public elementary schools, both serving prekindergarten through grade 6: Big Creek Elementary and Oneida Elementary School. They are small schools, with enrollments of 136 and 110 students, respectively. In 2025–2026, their results vary by grade and subject, but one school has a broader pattern of achievement above state rates: all 10 reported results at Big Creek Elementary were above the state.

Big Creek Elementary stands out for consistency, averaging 21 points above state across its reported results, compared with 7 points for Oneida Elementary School. The leader changes by grade, however: Oneida Elementary School leads in grade 4 math, 86% to 59%, and grade 6 reading, 73% to 45%. Big Creek Elementary leads in grade 3 reading, 75% to 50%, and grade 5 editing and mechanics, 82% to 33%.
