Summary:
The four elementary schools in ZIP code 67152—Eisenhower Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Kennedy Elementary, and Washington Elementary—are in the Wellington district; all serve through fifth grade, and Eisenhower and Kennedy also offer prekindergarten. In 2025–2026, the schools’ equal-weight average proficiency was 45% in ELA, 36% in math, and 34% in science, compared with state results of 46%, 41%, and 38%. The biggest area-wide concern is math: its average was 5 percentage points below the state, with a 37-point spread between Washington and Kennedy.
Washington Elementary led all-grades ELA at 51% and math at 54%, respectively 5 and 13 points above the state. Eisenhower Elementary led science at 45%, 7 points above the state. At the other end, Kennedy Elementary had the lowest all-grades result in every subject: 34% in ELA, 17% in math, and 28% in science—12, 24, and 10 points below the state. Grade-level results add important exceptions: Kennedy’s fifth-grade ELA was 56%, above the state’s 51%, while Lincoln Elementary led fourth-grade math at 48%, 3 points above the state.
Recent changes are mixed: the four-school ELA average was essentially unchanged from 2024–2025, math rose 1 point, and science fell 10 points; the state’s ELA and math results rose 1 and 2 points, while science fell 3. Washington’s ELA rose 11 points, but its science fell 19; Lincoln’s math rose 5 points as its science fell 12. SchoolDigger’s statewide rank positions worsened from 2023–2024 to 2025–2026 for all four schools: Eisenhower went from 356 to 435, Lincoln from 338 to 419, Kennedy from 508 to 565, and Washington from 232 to 264. Context measures do not form a simple performance pattern: Washington is the smallest school, with 86 students and a 7.9 student-teacher ratio, while Eisenhower is largest, with 277 students and a 15.3 ratio. Lincoln and Kennedy have similar free/reduced-lunch rates—87% and 86%—but their math proficiency differs by 24 points.
