As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I would not recommend this school to anyone.
The teachers are mean and are too busy to focus on one child. No cursive, no corrections, no expectations, hardly any homework. I think they only focus on test scores, but don't teach children how to effectively take tests. No grammar, no discipline, and no spelling! We are done!! Close Quote

Open Quote Please don't judge by my rating. I don't feel I know enough about the workings of the school to give it a real rating. The teachers are AWESOME. I'm guessing the teachers are being told HOW they can teach.

This information on this site is wrong. My kids have been attending Midland Trail Elementary since year 2010-2011.

RE: Student Teacher Ratio: There was only 1 class (out of 9) that had less than 20 students for 1 teacher. This year, one of my kids has 26 in his class. This is too much.

Midland Trail no longer teaches Art, Cursive Writing, and Spelling. My son's 4th grade math really confused me. Something about subtracting when you are supposed to be multiplying or dividing????

The teachers are great, but are overextended.

RE: Statistics or Nationality. This site shows there are the same number of Caucasian as Hispanic. Wrong. There have always been only 2 or 3 Caucasian children in each class. I would actually say the classes are 75% Hispanic and then the other 25% make up all the other nationalities. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
