Guthridge School is an elementary school in Parsons, in southeastern Kansas, serving 203 students in grades 4–5. Its 2025–26 results place it well ahead of the Parsons district and the state in all three tested subjects. The clearest overall finding is that Guthridge’s reported proficiency was higher than both the district’s and the state’s in English language arts (ELA), math and science.

Math is Guthridge’s strongest subject compared with nearby schools: its 60% proficiency was the highest among nearby results reported, about 16 percentage points above their average. Its ELA result, 61%, was also strong—about 10 points above the nearby average. Science is the relative weak spot: Guthridge scored 49%, about 4 points below the nearby average.
