Holcomb has five schools serving elementary, middle and high school students, plus a virtual program, with 907 students enrolled. The clearest area-wide concern is that ELA and math results moved further below state levels: across the same three schools, average ELA proficiency fell from 35% to 31% and the gap with the state widened from 9 to 15 points; math fell from 31% to 27%, widening the gap from 8 to 14 points.
Holcomb Elementary 3-5 led reported all-grades ELA and math results, at 43% and 35%, compared with 27% and 24% at Holcomb Middle and 25% and 21% at Holcomb High. Even the leading elementary school remained 3 points below the state in ELA and 6 points below in math. In science, Holcomb High led at 35%, while Holcomb Middle had 18% and Holcomb Elementary 3-5 had 32%; the Unified School District 363 Virtual Academy was lowest at 10%.
