Academically, Pike High School faces significant challenges, with below-average performance on standardized tests and graduation rates compared to the state and nearby high-performing schools. For example, in the 2024-2025 school year, only 26.06% of students were proficient or better in ILEARN/Biology, compared to the district average of 26.06% and the state average of 29%. The school's performance on the SAT is also below average, with only 35.92% of students proficient or better in Evidence-based Reading and Writing, and 14.65% proficient or better in Mathematics, compared to the district averages.

Interestingly, Zionsville Community High School, located about 6 miles from Pike High School, consistently ranks among the top 5 high schools in Indiana and has significantly higher academic performance across all metrics, including test scores, graduation rates, and student group performance. In contrast, some of the other nearby schools, such as Ben Davis High School and Achieve Virtual Education Academy, have academic performance that is more comparable to or even lower than Pike High School. Addressing the high chronic absenteeism rates and providing targeted interventions and support for underperforming student groups could be crucial steps in improving the school's overall academic outcomes.

Open Quote this is not really a good school because of the drugs involved smoking and vaping in the restrooms the kids constantly using profanity and I think that Principal Inman should move on from the school Pike has changed alot since then even when my Brother went there and graduated in 2010 with good grades and honors. I Don't Recommend Pike at all. It's Nothing filled with problem hoodlum kids. Close Quote
