Ernest R Elliott Elementary School is a K–5 public school serving 463 students in Munster, Indiana, one of three elementary schools in the School Town of Munster, an elite Lake County district ranked 9th of 374 Indiana districts with 5 stars.

Statewide, Elliott ranks 117th of 1,015 schools (88th percentile, 4 stars) — strong, but a step down from its own recent peak of 41st of 1,016 (96th percentile, 5 stars) in 2022–23. Within Munster it is the lowest-ranked of the three elementaries, behind Frank H Hammond Elementary School (18th) and James B Eads Elementary School (89th). Elliott's proficiency trails the district average in English/language arts (65.8% vs. 69.18%) and science (55.91% vs. 59.7%), while sitting essentially at par in math. The clearest weak spot is 5th-grade math at 53.57% — nearly 20 points below the school's own 4th grade and 14.1 points below the district's 5th grade — and science is a persistent soft spot.
