Monroe Central Elementary School is a PK–6 school in Parker City, IN, serving 680 students as part of Monroe Central School Corp, in a small-town area east of Muncie. In 2025–2026 it ranked 554 of 1,015 Indiana elementary schools—45th percentile, 2 stars—while the district ranked 202 of 374 districts (46th percentile, 2 stars). The biggest story here is a long slide: Monroe Central was a 4-star school at the 86th percentile in both 2017–2018 and 2018–2019, then 73rd percentile in 2021–2022, 61st in 2023–2024, and 45th in 2025–2026.

Academically, math is the relative bright spot: 44.72% of all students were proficient, above the district's 39.79%, and 3rd grade math (54.88%) beat the state's 51.9%. But math has dropped from 57.7% in 2022–2023. English/language arts is a consistent weakness—every tested grade, 3rd through 6th, scored below the state, with all-grade ELA at 33.85%.
