Central Elementary School is a grades 3–5 school in Lawrenceburg, IN (500 Short St), serving 438 students in the Lawrenceburg Community School Corp, an area with a moderate free/reduced lunch rate of 44.06%. The school is ranked 432 of 1,015 in 2025–26 (57th percentile, 3 stars), down from 366 of 1,005 (64th) in 2024–25 and 341 of 1,011 (66th) in 2023–24 — recent slippage rather than a long-term collapse, since Central has consistently held 3 stars.

Academically, Central's clearest strength is math relative to its own district: 49.54% of students were proficient in math versus the district's 38.99%, a gap of more than 10 points that has held for several years. ELA came in at 41.67%, slightly above the district. Against nearby schools, however, Central sits mid-pack — 5th of 9 in ELA, 7th of 9 in math, 6th of 9 in science — with North Dearborn Elementary School and Dillsboro Elementary School well ahead. Grade-level results show 3rd grade above state in ELA and math and 5th grade above state in math and social studies, but 4th grade below state in ELA, math, and science.
