Boulevard Elementary School is a PK–5 school in Kokomo, Indiana, serving about 340 students as one of eight elementary schools in the Kokomo School Corporation, a district that ranks in the bottom quarter of Indiana districts. Roughly 53% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch — a share that has declined for three straight years — and the student-teacher ratio has improved to 15.4.

Boulevard's story is one of real but partial turnaround. For five consecutive years through 2020-21 it sat in the bottom quartile of Indiana elementary schools with 1-star ratings, and since 2021-22 it has held 2-star status for five straight years. Its 2025-26 ILEARN proficiency — 30.67% in ELA, 30.67% in math, and 31.25% in science — beats district averages but trails state averages by roughly 12–15 points. Fourth grade ELA is the standout at 45.83%, above both the district and the state and the best mark among same-district peers. Math, though, fell sharply to 30.67% this year. Chronic absenteeism is the school's clearest strength at 18.8%, far below the district's 29.1% and close to the state's 16.7%.
