Northrop High School is a 9–12 comprehensive high school at 7001 Coldwater Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and with 2,145 students it is the largest high school in the Fort Wayne Community Schools district, where just over half of students (53.75%) qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. For 2025-2026 it ranks 276th of 415 Indiana high schools — about the 33rd percentile, rated 2 stars — a level it has held for roughly six straight years after sitting near the 44th–50th percentile a decade ago.

Academically, Northrop beats its own district on the SAT but trails the state: 43.03% met the Evidence-based Reading and Writing benchmark versus 36.85% district-wide and 51.9% statewide, while math came in at 17.83% against 13.56% district and 25.6% state. I found the educational stimulus at Northrop high school to be almost nonexistent, and instead of refining the mind, the classes teach the basics of each subject and don't provoke deeper learning. Close Quote
