Allegiant Preparatory Academy

Allegiant Preparatory Academy is a K–5 charter elementary school at 1141 N. Sheffield Ave. on Indianapolis’s near-west side, serving 166 students as its own single-school district. It carries a 1-star rating and ranked 755th of 1015 Indiana schools in 2025–26—26th percentile—which is its best result in four years, up from the 10th percentile in 2022–23. Every one of its 10 nearby comparison schools is also 0- or 1-star, and the best-ranked neighbor, Global Preparatory Academy, sits at the same 26th percentile, one rank behind. In this weak cluster, Allegiant is the strongest performer.

Its standout result is attendance: chronic absenteeism fell from 58.2% in 2021–22 to 14.9% in 2024–25, below the state average of 16.7% and far below the 33.6% average of its comparison schools.
