Lake Louise Elementary School serves 608 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade in Palatine, Illinois. Most importantly, in 2025–2026 its proficiency rates were below both the state and district in all three reported results—ELA, math, and fifth-grade science—and were also below the average of nine nearby schools in each subject.

The school’s results were among the lowest in the nearby comparison: ELA proficiency was 41%, compared with 56% statewide, 61% in Palatine CCSD 15, and a nearby-school average of 62%. Science changed little, moving from 35% in 2024–2025 to 35% in 2025–2026, while its gap to the state widened from 6 to 13 points. This school needs an upgrade as far as finding innovative leadership to run this school. There are not enough extracurricular activities provided (unless you are in 5th grade or higher). Boy/Girl Scouts have practically been pushed out of the school by the assistant principal and her lack of wanting to coordinate or accommodate a schedule. There are definitely better schools located within the district. Close Quote
