Summary

Kankakee High School serves 1,360 students in grades 9–12 in Kankakee, Illinois, and is part of Kankakee School District 111. The clearest concern is that students’ test proficiency is substantially below state and nearby-school results: in 2025–2026, 11th-grade proficiency was 24% in English language arts (ELA), 12% in math and 20% in science, each below the state by 26, 28 and 28 percentage points, respectively.
