Kankakee School District 111 includes nine schools serving pre-K through grade 12, in an area where the schools’ average free/reduced lunch eligible measure was 91% in 2024–2025. In 2025–2026, district IAR proficiency was 29% in ELA and 16% in math, compared with 56% and 40% statewide; chronic absenteeism averaged 33%, versus 24% statewide.
